Ordinary filter element (paper filter element): Most of this filter element is disposable and cannot be cleaned. Because it is made of special filter material, it is easily damaged or loses its filtering effect after cleaning. If there is some slight dust on the surface of the filter element, you can gently tap it or use an air gun to blow off the surface dust, but cleaning is not advisable. When the filter element is too dirty or clogged, it is best to replace it.

Activated carbon filter element: This type of filter element uses activated carbon to absorb pollutants in the air. Cleaning is generally not recommended because moisture may destroy the adsorption capacity of the activated carbon. The filter element may become ineffective after cleaning and cannot continue to filter effectively.

Generally speaking, the replacement cycle of the air conditioning filter element is every 10,000 kilometers or about every 6 months, depending on the vehicle usage environment. If the air pollution is severe or you often drive in dusty areas, it is recommended to replace it more frequently.
