Car cabin filters (also known as cabin filters or cabin filters) typically need to be replaced every 15,000 to 30,000 kilometers, depending on your driving environment and your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations. If you frequently drive in areas with poor air quality, such as dusty areas, urban traffic or high pollution areas, it is recommended to replace it more frequently, which may need to be replaced every 10,000 kilometers or so.
In addition, if you notice a significant decrease in air conditioning air volume, an increase in odor, or a decrease in air quality in the car, this may also be a sign that the air conditioning filter needs to be replaced.
How to replace your car air filter?
1、Determine the location of the air filter:- Open the hood and locate the air filter box. Usually, it is a black or gray plastic box that sits on the side or top of the engine. The air filter box is usually connected to an intake pipe.
- Loosen the buckle or screw of the lid using a screwdriver or your bare hands. On some models, the lid may simply need to be pulled upwards.
- After opening the filter cover, gently remove the old air filter. Keep in mind the orientation of its installation, as the new filter needs to be put in the same way.
- Check the filter box for dust or debris before putting the new filter in. If so, clean it up with a clean cloth or hair dryer.
- Place the new air filter into the filter case in the original direction, making sure it fits perfectly flat without distortion or misalignment.
- Reinstall the filter cover, making sure all clips or screws are firmly in place.
- After ensuring that the filter cover has been securely installed, close the hood.
